A little something from the Bride
What advice would you give future brides?
Everything happens as it should! I often heard past brides fret or even cry over the material aspects of the day. That’s not to say, you shouldn’t put personal thought into your decor choices and draw on your inspiration of what you love. But those are the things not to lose sleep over if they don’t go quite as you planned. Flowers missing off your cake? Doesn’t really hurt anyone. You ran late to take pictures? It’s okay, smile make the most of the 15 minutes you do have. It’ll be worth it in the end.
The main focus of the day is marrying your love at that altar, and when you both have the shared mindset that your marriage is more important than what others think or those small mishaps that happen on the day, you’ll have a smooth run. Also, while sitting at your bridal table, as a couple, take a look around the room and take a minute to appreciate your efforts, smile and remember that the day has come. You’re there to enjoy your night with your new life-partner, no matter if there’s 10 or 1000 faces looking back at you.
If you were to choose one favorite supplier who would it be?
This is genuinely hard to answer… because every supplier we engaged was someone who’s amazing work we loved from the get go. I could go on about them all, but I’ll mention a few key ones that we wouldn’t change for the world — Firstly our photographers and videographers, Imagehaus and Soda Films. Their friendliness, professionalism and absolutely easy-going natures on the day exudes through their work. Even with the small bundle of images and video snippet we have so far, we know we’re going to fall in love with the rest to come, and cherish the memories they’ve created forever. Vesna Grasso, our beautiful florist and her team. Her genuine and smiling demeanour, her excitement and support from the day we first met, meant the world. She treated our event as if it was her own, and was always willing to go above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We were so happy to have worked with her and would recommend her any day.
Same goes with our dear friend Christopher behind Your Proposal and Events, who worked with Vesna and decked the reception and my house with his elegant candles. You’ll never meet a kinder, more passionate, generous and caring supplier, with a true eye for detail. Elie, my most talented pianist who serenaded my guests in the morning. His skill and talent is beyond measure, and the morning wouldn’t have been complete without him. Lastly, our venue Montage, by Navarra. Their service and quality cannot be faulted and we’re so glad to have been able to celebrate our big day with such a beautiful team of people, at such a classic and gorgeous venue.
