The Love Story

Ray & I met when we were 11 years old on Whale Beach! We lived about 30 minutes away from each other but kept in contact until we started dating when we were 14. We grew up together - he has always been my bestfriend. In 2022, Ray proposed to me on Whale Beach (I can’t believe I didn’t see it coming!). We’re just shy of being together for 10 years. We’re also so lucky that Ray’s sister Emma actually took a photo of the moment we met when we were 11! (She thought it was funny that her 11 year old brother was talking to a girl haha).

What advice would you give future brides?

Throughout the whole wedding process I kept on saying “I don’t care if the flowers are purple, as long as Ray is waiting for me at the end of the aisle, that is all that matters”. (For context, our colour scheme was not purple haha). The best thing about our whole wedding experience was that we didn’t forget why we were getting married. That was genuinely our only focus & by doing that, everything came together so seamlessly. All of our suppliers understood & worked to our energy & I genuinely believe that’s why everything just turned out so beautifully. So, my biggest piece of advice is to be present, remember your why & no matter what, it will all work out if you’ve got the right mindset.

If you were to choose one favorite supplier who would it be?

I genuinely cannot differentiate the brilliance of all our suppliers. I wouldn’t change any of them for the world & genuinely think they’re all the best in the business. I’d love to briefly mention a few special suppliers - they all deserve all the exposure!

Melissa De Cruz - the most down to earth, talented and hardworking team. Mel & Emma simply got the memo. We trusted them & their creativity & we couldn’t have expected the beauty they delivered on our day.

Ann Hassarati - simply the best makeup artist out there. So much fun and made me feel so light and ME in the makeup I was wearing. Rachelle Rose - a machine! I can’t explain how jump proof my bun was - I danced so hard & it did. not. move.

Salt Atelier - we genuinely gasped when we saw our sneak peak (which was over 200 photos!). The way they captured our energy was beyond all expectations. The loveliest team.

SVN Socials - these guys are unreal! So many special moments captured so seamlessly & we got it all the next day. Such a great team as well! I would recommend all of these guys to my nearest and dearest. So professional and delivered beyond all our expectations.
