What advice would you give future brides?

Trust in yourself, trust the process, and enjoy every single moment; the lead-up and the day come and go so quickly. I remember a past bride told me, 'enjoy every moment, because you will miss it,' and it is absolutely true! Being a bride and having that lead-up with all your family and friends is truly wonderful. Most importantly, I never rushed into any decisions; trust and meet with suppliers to see who understands the vision you're wanting to create. We really thought about what we wanted to create for our guests, the experience we wanted them to feel. With that being said, never underestimate the importance of highlighting and including those smaller, finer details.

We certainly did this, from our menu shapes, which matched our invitations, to our seating chart which had the same font as the menus, right to the very end where we had custom tissue paper designed for our florals to be wrapped in by the beautiful Azariade, which said, 'Thank you for celebrating our love, Mr. & Mrs. Frijo.' This small gift of thanks was our bonbonniere to our guests. Our guests loved finding it and were blown away at how all the details, big or small, aligned and met beautifully.

If you were to choose one favorite supplier who would it be?

This is such a tricky one to answer because we were fortunate and lucky to have such a great team of suppliers who worked tirelessly together to bring our vision to life. From hair and makeup, which was completed by the gorgeous Jasmin Cervello, to my beautiful Leah Da Gloria couture gown and the awesome team at White Label Design; everyone was SO perfect and considerate! Our wonderful Wedding Planner and Stylist, Kailey Kirk, introduced us to our wonderful Florist, the beautiful Chris and her team at Azariade. Chris has a creative flair like no one else. Her calm and reassuring nature made someone like me, who stresses all the time, very much at ease.

No problem was ever a problem, no idea was ever too big; she understood the assignment, and she had one goal – which was to make it happen. Kailey, Chris, and I would meet, and some meetings would run past 9 pm at night, but she was always so happy to bring her ideas and reassure you as a bride that it will be okay! She truly created magic in the room that night, exceeding our expectations. Azariade is a wonderful supplier with whom we will always continue to collaborate, and whether your budget is big or small, she will bring life and creative flair to the arrangements she presents to you, whatever the event may be.
